We have commenced seeking donations specifically to enable the Association to send deafblind and consumer delegates to the 2007 World Helen Keller Conference, being held in Perth, Australia.
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE (two dollars and over)
Donation assist with the high costs of registration, airfares (or other transport) and accommodation. Additionally some deafblind people need financial assistance with the VERY high cost of carers and/or interpreters.
Currently there are two people who have indicated that they would like to receive support:
All funds will be held in DBASA accounts until actual costs arise (ie in 2007 for accommodation etc) and proof may be requested. Should a particular delegate be unable to attend, their ‘pool’ of donations will be passed onto another delegate as deemed appropriate by the Association.
This is a marvelous opportunity for a number of South Australian delegates to attend. With the conference being held in Perth, Australia, it means we may actually be able to achieve South Australian representation. Overseas conferences are generally financially out of our reach.
Donations of $2 or over are tax deductible.TO GO TO THE TOP OF THIS PAGE |
